Swing, Neal announce engagement

Frankie and Sherri Swing of Shelbyville are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Jami Ann Swing to Joey Neal.

The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of James and Becky Swing of Shelbyville, and the late George and Virginia Parham. She is a 1998 graduate of Shelbyville Central High. She earned her bachelor's degree from the University of Tennessee in 2003, and her master's degree from Middle Tennessee State University in 2010. She is currently employed by Eakin Elementary School in Shelbyville.

The groom-elect is the son of Diane Neal and Joe Neal, both of Unionville. He is the grandson of the late Ella and James Haskins of Midland, and the late Ruth and Russell Neal of Longview. He is a 1997 graduate of Community High School, and earned his bachelor's degree from Middle Tennessee State University in 2003. He is currently employed by Home Depot in Brentwood.

The couple has set their wedding date for Saturday, Oct. 20 at Fair Haven Baptist Church in Shelbyville.
