The Eaglettes (4-6-3, 2-0-2 8-AAA) remain undefeated in district play after playing even with Tullahoma last week.
"You hate to see it end up in a tie but it's better than taking a loss," Shelbyville coach Neal Gordon said.
"We scored that goal early but other than that we really didn't play well at all in the first half. I thought we played much better in the second half, especially late in the second half."
Freshman Olivia Doak scored first after dribbling past a number of Lady Lion defenders before firing a shot to the back of the net.
Columbia responded with a pair of goals, one in the first half and the other early in the second.
The Eaglettes tied the game off a nice shoot of the foot of sophomore Alexis Larion with 15:07 left to play.
"We really battled in the second half and had a number of great scoring chances in the final few minutes of the game," Gordon said.
"With two ties, all we can do is try to win out in the district and hope that Tullahoma and Columbia tie when they play."
Shelbyville returns to action Tuesday night at home against Warren County in a non-district contest at 7.
