Mr. James Burdette, age 93, of Shelbyville, passed away Friday, September 21, 2012.
Funeral services will be 1 PM Wednesday, September 26, 2012, at Feldhaus Memorial Chapel. Reverend Jason Scales will be eulogist. Burial, with full military honors, will follow in Willow Mount Cemetery.
Visitation will be one hour prior to service Wednesday.
He was born January 8, 1919, in Kentucky, to the late Henry and Minnie Burdette. He was a retired carpenter and worker at Tyson Foods. Mr. Burdette was a veteran of the United States Army and served in Europe and Japan during World War II.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lou Trice Burdette in 2002, and a daughter, Dorothy Louise Green.
Survivors include his children, Clemmit Burdette, and his wife Christy, Carolyn Frazier, and her husband A.W. Smith, Tina Denise Burdette, and her husband Bobby King, Bobby Green, Eric Green, and Stephanie Redman; all of Shelbyville; sixteen grandchildren.
Feldhaus Memorial Chapel is assisting the family with the arrangements.
