Mr. Michael "Mike" Swaim, age 49, of Shelbyville, died Saturday, September 22, 2012.
Funeral services will be 11 AM Monday, September 24, 2012 at Feldhaus Memorial Chapel. Reverend Randall Harmon will officiate, with burial to follow in Evergreen Cemetery in Murfreesboro.
Visitation will be 4 to 8 pm Sunday, September 23, 2012, at Feldhaus Memorial Chapel.
He was born on April 5, 1963, in Memphis, Tennessee, to Jeanette Snipes Swaim of Murfreesboro, and the late Harry Edward Swaim, Sr. He was retired from American Can after 21 years of service and was a well known automobile mechanic in the community.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Wanda Anderson Swaim of Shelbyville; two daughters, Carrie Anderson Haddock, and her husband Matthew, of Bell Buckle and Jennie Swaim Woods, and her husband Blake, of Shelbyville; two sons, Samuel Swaim and Alexander Swaim, both of Shelbyville; three brothers, Eddie Swain and his wife Anne, and Jay Eric Swaim and his wife Holly, all of Murfreesboro, and Vic Swain and his wife, Amanda of Hammond, Louisiana; a grandchild, Logan Haddock of Bell Buckle.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association and East Park Methodist Church.
Feldhaus Memorial Chapel is assisting the family with the arrangements.
