Harris Middle School's bid for the Central Tennessee Conference girls soccer championship is one step closer after the Golden Eaglettes rolled to a 3-0 shutout over Franklin County South in the opening round of the tournament on Thursday night at the SCHS soccer field.

Nathaly Bello scored off an assist from Emma Haynes for the Eaglettes first goal early in the first half.

Sydnee Edwards followed with a penalty kick to put Harris up 2-0.

Anna Butts dribbled through the South defenders and found the back of the net for the final score of the game.

Jennifer Mendiola was outstanding in goal claiming making a number of impressive stops.

The Eaglettes (8-1-1) face host Tullahoma in the semi finals at 11 a.m. on Saturday at East Middle school with the winner advancing to the finals at 3 p.m.
