As the old letters were taken down and the temporary banner put up, the all-new Shelbyville Automotive opened for business last month.

The dealership formerly operated as Pirtle-Howerton Automotive until new owners Tim Weiland and Jack Pirtle purchased the franchise.

The new Shelbyville Automotive will sell Chevrolet, Buick, GMC and Ford as well as pre-owned vehicles of all makes and models. The dealership will also have a parts department and a service department that will perform repairs and maintenance on vehicles of all types.

In its entirety, Shelbyville Automotive will employee more than 40 individuals with an outlook to expand that number even further. Management promises to bring a different way of doing business to the area based on a commitment to service and establishing relationships with customer.

Dealership sales hours are Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Service hours are Monday through Friday 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon.
