Families with young children invited to Webb preview

Thursday, October 4, 2012

BELL BUCKLE, Tenn. -- Families with children in kindergarten through seventh grade are invited to learn more about The Webb School at a Middle School Preview from 10 a.m.-1 p.m., Oct. 27.

Webb is an independent college preparatory boarding/day school for grades 6-12. The oldest continuously operating private school of its kind in the South, the school is known for its dual emphasis on academic excellence and character development.

"We have planned an event that will allow families with young children a chance to see our campus and start considering The Webb School as an option for their children's education," said Julie Harris, Webb director of admissions. "Choosing a child's education is one of the most important decisions parents will make. It is important that they know all the options."

Activities begin with registration at 10 a.m. in the William Bond Library and include a campus tour with Webb students beginning at 10:15 a.m., an academic and extracurricular question-and-answer session for parents and various activities, such as science and art projects, for children in grades K-7 from 11 a.m.-noon. The day will end with lunch at noon in the Grace Follin Dining Hall with middle school faculty.

Those interested in attending the preview are asked to RSVP by Oct. 24 at admissions@webbschool.com or by calling 931-389-6003. For more information about The Webb School, visit www.thewebbschool.com.
