The Cascade Middle School Lady Champions finished their season undefeated with a harrowing couple of wins over the weekend.

On Friday night, the Lady Champs picked up a 1-0 victory over county-rival Liberty with the lone goal by Mariah Bowen. The win allowed the Lady Champs to advance to the championship round, where arch-rival Community awaited.

After neither team could find the back of the net in regulation or in a 10 minute overtime period, the game went to a shoot out. That's where the Lady Champs emerged victorious with a 3-4. Accounting for the goals were Kristen Heath, Bailey Sudduth, Mariah Bowen, and Kayden Fletcher. Defensively, Cascade limited scoring opportunities only allowing a total of three shots on goal.

Throughout the season, the Lady Champs had an impressive 309 shots on goal, while allowing just 13. Even more impressive, the Lady Champs outscored opponents 42-2 throughout the entire year.
