Lyons "Cap" Lillard, 45, of Dunwoody, Ga., died October 8, 2012 from complications related to diabetes.
Cap was born in Columbus, GA. He was a graduate of Riverwood High class of 1985. He earned his BBA degree from The University of Tennessee in Economics where he was a member and officer of Beta Theta Pi. Cap had a love of music and motorcycles. Prior to moving back to Atlanta, he was in an AC/DC tribute band "Back to Black" in San Diego. Cap was very much a free spirit who shared his love of motorcycles with his nieces, nephews and friends across the country.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Assoc.
He was preceded in death by his father, LTC Larry D. Lillard and is survived by his mother, Nancy L. Lillard; brother and sister-in-law, John and Deanna Lillard; nephews and nieces, Wyatt, Maclyn, Carrie, and Wilson Lillard; aunt, Sandra Lyons of Huntsville, AL; cousins, Ed and Susan Lyons; cousins, Lesley and Phil Abashian; uncle and aunt, Lake and Terry Lillard; and cousin, John Matt Lillard.
A memorial service will be Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at 2 o'clock at Dunwoody United Methodist Church in Dunwoody, Ga.
