The Vikings got a quick steal to start to the game and continued to play well up until the end of the first quarter.
The Champions were clinging on o a 10-6 lead when leading scorer Hayden Edmondson knocked down a quick three, followed up by a fade away from the corner by Terrence Swan to give the Champions a 16-6 lead after one.
The Champs remained hot throughout the second quarter as they put up another 16 points to lead the Vikings 32-17 at the half.
The Vikings played hard coming out of the locker room, but the Champs would not back down as they put the game away scoring 19 points in the third, while holding the Vikings to 10.
The Vikings were able to out-core the Champs in the fourth 9-8, but it was too little, too late as the Champions held on to win.
The Vikings' scrappy defense played hard all night, but they had a hard time containing Edmondson, as he led all scorers with 27 points including a game high three buckets from beyond the arc.
The Vikings' Tatan Cagle led the way for their offense scoring 12 points and knocking down their lone three.
Community hits the road Monday for their next game as the Vikings take on MTCS after the Viqueens who start at 6 p.m. The Champions continue their home stand Monday as they look to keep their winning streak alive as they take on Eagleville after the Lady Champions who also start at 6 p.m.
