Cascade Middle grabs another big victory

LYNCHBURG -- For the second night in a row, the Cascade Middle Champions hung at least 50 points on an opponent, this time dispatching Moore County 66-17.

The Champs exploded for 25 points in the first quarter on Tuesday night and never looked back. Cascade out-scored Moore County 25-2 in the first quarter and added 13 more in the second for good measure to close the opening half up 38-11.

Throttle stays down

Cascade didn't let off the throttle in the second half, either.

The Champs out-scored the Raiders 28-6, which included holding the Raiders scoreless in the fourth quarter.

Hayden Edmondson once again led the Champion offensive efforts, scoring a game-high 21 points, including nine points from 3-point range.

Seth Gardner also showcased his effectiveness beyond the arc as he also knocked down three trifectas.

Gardner accounted for 13 points in the Champions' winning efforts. Nick Adcock also broke into double digits and added 10 points to the winning cause.
