Mrs. Emma Jean Holder Sanders, age 79, of the North Fork Community of Bedford County, died Thursday, October 25, 2012. Mrs. Sanders was born in Marshall County and was a daughter of the late Everette Houston and Ruby Emma Haynes Slaughter. She was a very active member of North Fork Baptist Church. Mrs. Sanders was a homemaker and was retired from Cosmolab, Inc. in Lewisburg, TN. In addition, she was a licensed tax preparer operating her income tax service for 26 years. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Thomas Leland "Tom" Holder, who died in 1984, and by her second husband, Edd Sanders, who died in 2008. In addition, she was also preceded in death by a sister, Mayme Leverette.
Mrs. Sanders is survived by sons, Danny (Sherry) Holder, Shelbyville, TN, Travis (Tammy) Holder, Lewisburg, TN; step-children, Judy Pruitt, North Fork Comm., Eddie W. (Joyce) Sanders, Shelbyville, TN; sisters, Alice (Hoyte) Haskins, Chapel Hill, TN, Ruth Moore, Unionville, TN; three grandchildren; two step-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Saturday, October 27, 2012 from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home. Family members also will receive friends on Sunday from 1:00 until 4:00 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 28, 2012 from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Bro. Rob McKamey and Bro. Charles Saunders officiating. Burial will follow in Hopper Cemetery near Chapel Hill.
Justin Holder, Murray Haskins, Gary Haskins, Roger Moore, Gene Molder and David Luna will serve as active pallbearers. The Adult Ladies Sunday School Class at North Fork Baptist Church will serve as honorary pallbearers.
