Champs win 6th straight easily

Tuesday, October 30, 2012

MANCHESTER -- Cascade put three players in double digits on Monday night and blew past the Westwood Rockets, 60-20. Seth Gardner, Lane Stacy, and Hayden Edmondson combined for 37 total points, guiding the Cascade Champions to their sixth win of the season.

Cascade put this one out of reach early, out-scoring the home team 11-2 in the first quarter. The Champs continued to wreak havoc on the Rockets through the next two quarters, amassing another 44 points between the second and third stanzas.

Westwood struggle

Westwood struggled to string together enough points to make a run at the Champs, and only scored 18 points through the final three quarters of play.

Per usual, a good chunk of Cascade's offense came courtesy of the 3-ball. The Champs knocked down six trifects, with Will Carter, Gardner, and Edmondson each banking a pair of treys.

The Champs will look to make it seven-straight this evening when they tip off against Moore County, following the Lady Champions game at 6 p.m.
