Moore County utilized a balanced attack, placing 10 players into the scoring column which proved to be enough to hand Cascade its first loss on the season, 48-23.
All season long, Kristen Heath and Bailey Sudduth have been a powerful offensive tandem for Cascade, often breaking into double digits and leading all scorers.
But on Tuesday night, it was almost as if a bubble was placed over the basket, keeping several would-be shots out of the nylon.
The Lady Champs kept things respectable in the first quarter, finishing only down a single bucket to the visitors. Things quickly got out of hand as Cascade could only manage three, third-quarter points, while the Raiderettes pulled ahead with an 8-spot.
But it was a 19-point third quarter that ended up being the straw that broke the camel's back for the Lady Champs.
Moore County added 11 more in the fourth to put Tuesday's game in the books.
As a team, Cascade struggled from all over the floor, but noticeably from the free throw line.
Collectively, Cascade only connected on 5-of-17 tries from the charity stripe while the Raiderettes were able to make their time the line count. Moore County made good on 10-of-24 attempts.
On the stats sheet, Abi Jones came off the bench and led Cascade with seven points against the Raidettes, while Heath added five.
Cascade will look to rebound against Forrest on Thursday evening with the opening tip off set for 6 p.m.
