Vikes ride 2nd half rally to win

UNIONVILLE -- A second half rally was the difference as Community Middle's Vikings claimed a 40-32 victory over visiting Moore County on Thursday night.

After trailing 8-7 at the end of the first quarter and 17-15 at intermission, the Viking outscored the Raiders 10-6 in the third stanza to take a 25-23 advantage into the fourth quarter.

Jackson Wisener had the hot hand for Community, pitching in a game-high 24 points while teammate Michael McClain added five off the bench.

Austin Holdmeyer 14 tallies led Moore County.

The Vikings entertain Westwood on Monday.
