John Franklin Tucker, 46, of Winchester passed away October 18, 2012.

To his many friends he was known as "Little John" and to his trucking buddies as "2 x 4." A native of Franklin County, John was a free spirited and giving person. He never met a "stranger" and was quick to help anyone in need. John was active in the sport of karate, winning 1st place in the Kentucky State Tournament. He achieved the brown belt by the age of 12.

John began a career in trucking following graduation from Franklin County High School in 1985. He most recently worked for Three Rivers Trucking in Shelbyville. He was a member of Alto United Methodist Church.

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, John and Frankie Keller; paternal grandfather, Frank Tucker.

He is survived by his paternal grandmother, Dorothy Tucker Noah of Greeley, CO; mother and step-father, Sue and Roy B. Watson of Winchester; father, Charles Lynn Tucker of Winchester; sisters, Terri Tucker of Murfreesboro and Karri (Tony) Patton of Winchester; step-brother, Ben (Donna) Watson of Winchester; niece, Anrae (Marty) Finney of Decherd; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

The funeral service was conducted October 21, 2012 from the Chapel of Watson-North Funeral Home. Interment followed in the Ikard Family Cemetery. Currently, plans for a foundation, "A Good Friend" are being made in John's memory. This foundation will benefit people with needs.
