Mrs. Frances Snell, age 82, of Shelbyville, passed away Friday, November 2, 2012, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
Funeral services will be 2 PM Tuesday, November 6, 2012, at Feldhaus Memorial Chapel. Brother Mike Hannah, Brother Matt Collins, and Brother Jason Porter will officiate, with burial to follow in Mt. Lebanon Methodist Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4-8 PM Monday at Feldhaus Memorial Chapel.
She was born April 30, 1930, in Columbus, Mississippi, to the late Andrew Jackson and Angie Lucille Johnson Mullins. She was a homemaker and ran the nursery at Calvary Baptist Church in Columbus, Mississippi, for many, many years. Mrs. Snell loved and cared for many children over the years. She attended Immanuel Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Snell, in 1974, a brother, Jack Mullins, and a great-granddaughter, Korley Davis.
She is survived by a daughter, Patsy Porter, and her husband Donnie, of Wartrace; four grandchildren, Becky Davis, and her husband Donald, of Shelbyville, Jason Porter, and his wife Chasity, of Ft. Worth, Texas, Josh Porter, presently serving in Afghanistan, and Jared Porter, of Mayport, Florida; six great-grandchildren, Kaitlin Davis, Khloe Davis, Dawson Porter, Kaylee Porter, Sidney Porter, and Houston Porter; a nephew, Greg Mullins, and a niece, Beverly Rauhoff.
Feldhaus Memorial Chapel is assisting the family with the arrangements.
