Payne, Ferrell united in marriage

Lindsey Renee Payne and Bill Ferrell were united in marriage in a double ring ceremony at the farm of Gary King on September 22.

Lindsey is the daughter of Sherry and Barry Frizzell and John Payne of Nashville. She is the grand-daughter of Dorothy and Tom Rowland of Shelbyville, Rachel and Connell Frizzell of Fairfield and the late John Norman, the late Mary "Cookie" Steele Brown and the late Virgil Gilbert "Gibby" Jr.

The groom is the son of Cecile and William Charles Ferrell, Sr. of Ketchikan, Alaska and the grandson of Jeannie Spears of Louisville, Ky., Charles Ferrell of Anchorage, Alaska and the late Everitt Spears and Georgia Ferrell.

Bobby McGee presided over the ceremony which was held in the company of a large number of guests.

The bride was escorted by her father John Payne. She wore an A-line formal bridal gown of ivory Victorian lace, with a sweetheart neckline, elongated torso with a satin belt of Elen Henderson design at the waist, pleated bias bands with lace applique accent skirt and a chapel train.

Her single layer fingertip veil was trimmed in ivory lace. The bouquet was a hand-tied arrangement of white hydrangeas, white eskimo roses, miniature white calla lilies, all tied with burlap.

The bride was attended by friends Mrs. Jamie Doak as matron of honor and Miss Samantha Moore as maid of honor, both of Shelbyville. Bridesmaids included Amber Frizzell of Henderson, step-sister of the bride; and friends of the bride Katie Canon of Columbus, Ohio; Jennifer Cyr, Mary Rankin and Dana Rinks, all of Nashville.

Flower girls included the couple's daughter, Finleigh Ferrell of Nashville, Kyler Doak, daughter of Jamie and Joel Doak of Shelbyville, and Anna Myers, daughter of Richard and Stacy Myers of Brentwood.

The groom was attended by best man Randy Michaels of Nashville, a friend. Groomsmen included friends of the groom, Nathan Berger of Louisville, Ky.; Richard Myers of Brentwood; David Sells of Fox Point, Wis.; Jack Wheat of Prospect, Ky.; Kevin Hartley and groomswoman Allison Economy of Nashville.

Jevan Kincaid, cousin of the bride, attended as ring bearer. He is the son of Menda and Jon Kincaid of Hermitage.

The reception was held at the King farm, south of Shelbyville, and was hosted by the bride's parents.

The rehearsal dinner was hosted by the bridal couple and Gary King at King's home.

The couple will make their home in Nashville.

Prenuptial parties included a couples shower given by Barbie and Tony Thomas, Laura and George Parham and Martha and Steve Kaiser at the Cliffords' old home place on Possum Trot Road.

A bridal brunch was given by Edwina Reynolds, Jamie Doak, Deanna Fry, Samantha Moore, Jeri Lynn Smith and Rita Ward at the home of Edwina Reynolds.

A bridesmaids brunch given by Brenda Hardison and Edwina Reynolds was held at the King property on the day of the wedding.
