Trail of damage on Madison Street

A wild accident early this morning on Madison Street left a block-long trail of damage, three vehicles and two refrigerators totaled and major damage to two buildings. The unoccupied truck, parked at Blue's Auto Sales, was knocked an entire city block across King Avenue and through the side of Creative Touch Florist and Catering after being hit by a truck driven by Sandra Tutt of Chapel Hill. Sandra Tutt of Chapel Hill told police she lost control of her truck after another driver merged into her lane about 6:30 a.m., Sgt. James Wilkerson said.
