Harris rides early lead to win

Harris Middle School's Golden Eagles jumped out to a big lead early and never looked back in a 66-36 win at Franklin County South in a Central Tennessee Conference matchup on Thursday.

The Eagles (1-0, 1-0) posted leads of 17-6 at the end of the first quarter, 38-16 at the intermission and 55-28 after three periods.

Jamal Harden pitched in a game-high 22 points for the winners while Camari Cannon, Roger Pryor and Darius Young each added 10 tallies.

Christopher Tyler led South with 9.

The Eagles host Franklin County North on Monday.
