During the month of October, the Times-Gazette designated two of its newspaper racks as "pink racks." A portion of the proceeds from both of these racks were donated to the Bedford County Cancer Foundation and the American Cancer Society.

"I'm happy we've been able to do this over the past three years," said Olene Standfield, circulation manager. "And we were excited that rack sales increased this year, so this was a win-win for everyone."

One pink rack was located at the post office and the other at the Times-Gazette.

On Thursday, the Times-Gazette presented a check to each group.
