The Liberty Patriots remained steady on the offensive side of the ball from the opening tip off until the final buzzer. That drive powered the Pats to a big, 51-29 win over Westwood on Thursday night.
Mike Sorcia banked a game-high 19 points, but it was the supporting cast that rose to the occasion.
Liberty took an early, 15-10 lead after the first frame and added 12 more in the second to hold a commanding 27-16 lead after the first half. Led by Sorcia, the Patriots played add on with 14 more in the third.
Meanwhile, Westwood was trying to establish any sort of offensive rhythm and attempting to slow Sorcia down on defense. Neither plan really worked out for the Rockets as the Patriots matched Westwood's eight points in the fourth to close the deal on the victory.
In addition to Sorcia's 19, Luke Davidson, Chris Houston, and Austin Seibers all contributed valuable points for the winners.
