Allegations

A report by Shelbyville officer Jarred Frazier explained the alleged incident began when Myrick, McCord and Samantha Houston were at the residence of Greg Marlin on Hawkins Drive.

Marlin told police in May he thought Myrick sent a text message to Emmanuel Houston accusing Marlin of "slandering" him.

According to Frazier's report, Emmanuel and Twilley arrived at Marlin's home about 11 p.m. that night and attacked him, with Houston striking Marlin with a wooden baseball bat and hitting him several times in the ribs and once atop the head.

Frazier's report claimed that Twilley pointed a handgun at Marlin while Emmanuel Houston tied his arms and legs together with a vacuum cord.

"While he was tied up, Samantha Houston stole some of his belongings including $800 in cash, a flat screen television, a bag of marijuana and his cell phone," the report read.

Marlin was taken to Heritage Medical Center for injuries including a collapsed lung, broken rib and a severe head laceration. All six suspects fled and were arrested when their SUV was stopped in Murfreesboro.
