Harris girls handed first loss

Harris Middle School's Golden Eaglettes fell 38-27 at Blackman Middle for their first loss of the season on Tuesday.

The Eaglettes (4-1) trailed 8-6 at the end of the first quarter but led 13-12 at halftime and 25-23 going into the fourth quarter where the winners outscored Harris 15-2 to claim the victory.

Bria Dial led Blackman with 13 points followed by Alex Booker with 10.

Romney Felts pitched in nine points for the Eaglettes with Keely Smith and Emma Haynes each adding six tallies each.

Harris returns to action on November 29 at Warren County.
