Pats dismantle Raiders, 55-8

Tuesday, November 27, 2012

SHELBYVILLE -- The final score says it all. Liberty was able to score at will against visiting Moore County on Monday night and cruised to a stunning 55-8 win over the visiting Raiders.

Liberty took advantage of just about every scoring opportunity presented in the first half and raced out to a 17-0 lead after the first quarter.

The Patriots added 24 more in the second while the Raiders only managed three total first half points.

The Pats let off the throttle in the second half, but still outscored the Raiders 14-5.

Chris Houston led all scorers with 16 points, but had a ton of help from teammates like Mike Sorcia and Luke Davidson, who scored eight and six points, respectively.

Liberty also did some damage beyond the arc, accounting for three trifectas. Davidson, Houston and Hunter Lemmon each drilled one to fuel the ranged attack.

The Pats didn't make many trips to the line, but once there they made them count.

The Patriots connected on 4-of-6 attempts against the Raiders.

Liberty will attempt to close the regular season with a win on Thursday night when the Eagleville Middle Eagles come to town for the regular season finale.
