The event served to raise money to provide Christmas gifts and food for local children in need.

Kim Hammond, pageant director, said, "It was a wonderful day for the girls and a very successful effort for us. We raised enough funds and gifts to provide gifts and food for twelve children in our area who otherwise would not be able to enjoy the Christmas bounty that we all take for granted."
