Mrs. Ethel Arthur Major, 91, of Shelbyville died Wednesday, November 28th, at Heritage Medical Center.
She was the daughter of the late Heber and Ethel Pearl Cooksey Arthur and the wife of the late Austin Major. She was preceded in death by a son, Arthur Watts.
She is survived by six sons, Walter M. Watts of Camino Island, Washington, William D. Carter of Shelbyville, Michael F. Carter of Hatch, Utah, David Carter of Graham, Washington, Austin Major Jr. of San Juan Capistrano, California, Matthew Major of Goodyear, Arizona; three daughters, Ethel Briggs of Gordonsville, Virginia, Carolyn Logan of Peoria, Arizona, Joy Hodge of Surprise, Arizona; 27 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held in Coachella, California, Burial at Coachella Valley Cemetery.
Hillcrest Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
