The Grand Marshal's prize went to Miss Judie's Day Care, with Elite Physical Therapy earning first runner up. Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church and Allstate Insurance were second and third runners up, respectively.
While the parade was followed by about 200 horses and riders who came out for the festivities, it was led by about 46 runners who participated in the 5th annual Run for Their Life 5K.
The race benefits First Choice Pregnancy center in Shelbyville.
Race coordinator Donna Thomas said runners who participated were pleased with the weather and the support they received from the crowd.
"We were down from last year," Thomas said. "There was another 5K in town earlier in the day and that may have hurt us."
Runners ranged from ages 6 to 65.
The overall winner hailed from Murfreesboro. Roger Brady finished with a time of 20:31. Sergio Gomez of Shelbyville finished second in the men's overall with a time of 22:49. He was trailed by Josh Skipworth, also of Shelbyville, who finished at 23:02.
Women's overall winner was Kailey Snell with a time of 23:46. Tracy Watson (23:39) and Carmen Ray (25.27) finished second and third, respectively. All ladies represented Bedford County.
