The Viqueens (3-5, 2-2 9-A) picked up their second win this week with the latest victory coming at Fayetteville City on Friday night, 53-44.
It was a close contest for much of the first quarter, but Fayetteville was able to pull ahead and hold a slim 12-11 lead after the first eight minutes of play.
The Viqueens, however, rallied and took a 26-23 lead into halftime.
Despite neither team's offense producing much in the third, the Viqueens put the game away with a 20-point fourth quarter, notching the squad's second district win, improving the team to .500 in district play.
Katie Leverette dominated the paint for the Viqueens, scoring a game-high 18 points. Sarah Pierce and senior Hannah Busbee lent their efforts to the winning cause, with each tallying seven points.
In conjunction with Leverette's play inside the paint, the Viqueens also netted a pair of treys, with Busbee and fellow senior Kristin Ray scoring one apiece.
Fayetteville also had its share of heroes as well.
While the Viqueen offense was spread out and nine players scoring points for the winners, Fayetteville's offense was much more concentrated.
The bulk of the Lady Tigers' points came from Treva Thompson and Jasmine Clark, who scored 18 and 13, respectively.
Despite the two posting double digit figures, Fayetteville didn't get a whole lot of help from the rest of the team.
While the Viqueens' next district contest is a week away against Eagleville, they get a chance to step out of district play on Tuesday as they travel to Santa Fe.
Community also hosted Mt. Pleasant on Saturday, however results were unavailable at press time.
