And despite the difference on the scoreboard, Webb coach Jeff Mitchell feels his team did have a few more positives than in Monday's game against Columbia Academy.
"We scored 16 or 17 more points than we did last night. We rebounded the ball better tonight. Even with a 29-point loss, I feel like there were some positives," he said.
MTCS posted a 16-10 advantage after one quarter of play, but Webb was still able to spread around the ball and account for 10 points.
The Cougars began to create some space, though, in the second quarter by tacking on another 21.
Webb again managed to score just enough to hang in a position to make a second-half run at the visitors.
Unfortunately for the Feet, that run never came as MTCS essentially put the game out of reach with a 24 point third and a 13 point fourth.
In all, Webb had trouble guarding MTCS' Derrick Spears, who led the Cougs with 29 points. Ben Brown also posted big numbers for MTCS with 17.
"We're just young. We've got a long way to go defensively," Mitchell said.
But Webb saw three players hit double digits on Tuesday night. Chase Hullett, Rod Walsh, and Branson Popp were able to hit 14, 13, and 10 points, respectively to give the Feet a chance at making a comeback.
Webb will look to rebound on Friday night as Riverside Christian Academy visits Bell Buckle.
