Voting and submissions remain open until Dec. 20 in the Times-Gazette's "Scared of Santa" photo contest, and the person who submits the winning entry will receive a diamond Kiss pendant valued at $200 from Lowery Jewelers.

Photos that were entered in last year's contest are eligible to be re-submitted this year, and the sooner you enter, the more chances others will have to vote for your entry.
As of midday Tuesday, the contest had 16 entries and a total of 117 votes had been cast.
The contest highlights those funny and touching moments when a young child reacts badly to being put on Santa's lap for a photo.
Contest entries must be submitted online at t-g.com. (If you have an old print, scan it into a digital format or get a friend -- or a local photo counter -- to do it for you.) The entry receiving the most votes will be the winner.
The submitter of the first place photo will receive a diamond Kiss pendant, designed to resemble the beloved foil-wrapped chocolate candy, valued at $200. The second place winner will receive a sterling silver heart necklace valued at $100.
Only one vote will be accepted per user account per day.

A photo of Corbin Riley, son of Kacy and Nathan Riley, was the winner of the 2011 contest. Tanna Warren, who runs the day care Corbin attended, submitted the photo and won the prize.
In addition to the Times-Gazette and Lowery Jewelers, contest sponsors include Cuddles & Crayons Preschool and DSC Sanitation.
