t's been a year of growing pains thus far for the Webb Feet and each game has brought about several new learning experiences for the young team.
With the goal of where they want to be as a team, Webb looked for new successes against Riverside Christian Academy on Friday night, but was dealt a tough 65-63 loss.
"We're just struggling. Our first and third quarters were horrendous, then we made everything in the fourth quarter," said Webb coach Jeff Mitchell.
It was a struggle for Webb in the first half. Riverside outscored the Feet 13-6 in the first quarter, but Webb was able to muster a 16-point second quarter rally to head to the break down just three points.
But the offensive drought hit the Feet again in the third quarter and Webb was only able to post five points while Riverside surged ahead with 18 more.
Despite the rare scoring possessions in the third, Webb unloaded on RCA in the fourth, scoring an eye-popping 36 points.
Even with the fourth quarter eruption, RCA still managed 22 points which was enough to escape Webb by the two-point margin of victory.
In all, Webb saw 31 points from Chase Hullet, and 19 more from Branson Popp who had a double-double with 19 rebounds.
Webb will host FRA on Thursday before taking part in the Community Christmas Classic next weekend.
