Mrs. Annie Ruth Luna, age 94, of Shelbyville, passed away Sunday, December 16, 2012, at Heritage Medical Center.
Funeral services will be 2 PM Friday, December 21, 2012, at Feldhaus Memorial Chapel. Dr. Buddy Koonce will officiate, with burial to follow in Hazel Cemetery.
Visitation will be 11 AM until time of service.
She was born February 7, 1918, in Bedford County, to the late Thomas "Ervin" and Blanche Scales Crowell. She was a homemaker and member of the Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Henry Douglas and her second husband, Fred Luna. Also preceding her in death were a brother Harry Crowell, and two sisters, Mary Bishop and Lucille Devers.
Surviviors include a son, David Kay Douglas, and his wife Karen, of Austin, Texas, and two daughters, Betty Jane Stegemoller, and her husband Mike, of Brownwood, Texas, and Mary Ellen Koonce, and her husband Dr. Marvin "Buddy" Koonce, of Shelbyville; step children, Sonia Luna, of California, and Ted Luna, and his wife Shay, of Unionville; grandchildren, Michelle Latson and Rebecca Douglas, both of Austin, Texas, Tim Stegemoller, of Brownwood, Texas, Melissa Stegemoller, of Brady, Texas, Michael Stegemoller, of Waco, Texas, Jennifer Koonce Thorpe, Douglas Koonce, Jonathan Koonce, and Chelsy Luna, all of Shelbyville, and David Koonce, of Murfreesboro; 16 great-grandchildren.
