Eaglettes explode in 2nd half

Harris Middle's Golden Eaglettes exploded for 30 second-half points in a 48-11 win over host Franklin County North to remain unbeaten in the Central Tennessee Conference on Monday night.

The Eaglettes (9-1, 9-0 CTC) posted leads of 12-4 at the end of the opening frame, 18-5 at halftime and 38-9 going into the fourth quarter where they outscored their opponent 10-2.

Seventh-grader Jenna Holt led the winners with 12 points, Kenzie Hobbs netted 10 while Emma Haynes and Romny Felts each contributed eight points apiece.

Kazdin Wild led North with five tallies.

Harris returns to action on Jan. 7 at home against Tullahoma East.
