Harris steps up, burns North

After a slow start, Harris Middle's Golden Eagles claimed a 38-26 win at Franklin County North in a Central Tennessee Conference matchup on Monday.

North jumped out to a 11-2 lead at the end of the first quarter before being outscored by the Eagles 12-0 in the second to trail 14-11 at intermission.

The Eagles held a 23-22 lead after three periods but closed out the game in the fourth quarter with a 15-4 run.

Jamal Harden led the winners with 13 points, Camari Cannon added 11 and Rapheal Weatherspoon followed with 10.

Mike Leslie, Jace Smith and Slayton Wild each scored six points for North.

Harris cashed in on 15-of-19 attempts at the charity stripe.

The Eagles (8-2, 8-1 CTC) return to action against Tullahoma East on Jan. 7.
