By first glance at the scoreboard, one might assume the Webb Feet had few, if any positives to take away from a 61-19 loss. But coach Jeff Mitchell feels his team has made some improvements over previous games and were able to take a few positives away from the loss on Wednesday night.
"It was just a mismatch. That's a very good team --bigger and stronger. Our kids did some good things," he said.
The visitors led 18-0 after the first quarter, but Webb answered with a 12-point second quarter and finally got the ball rolling.
Still, FRA continued to hammer the scoreboard and held a 40-12 lead after two quarters.
"It was just a struggle to score because they're so big and strong. I have to give our kids credit, they have great attitude and I think they got something out of the game," Mitchell said.
FRA held on with another 21 points in the second half, while limiting Webb to just seven.
The Feet will attempt to rebound as they face off against the Community Vikings in the Community Christmas Classic at 7:30 this evening.
