Mr. William Edward Fowler, Sr., age 60, of Shelbyville, passed away Friday, December 21, 2012, at StoneCrest Medical Center in Smyrna, Tennessee.
Funeral services will be 1 PM Saturday, December 29, 2012, at Mullins Chapel Church. Reverend Nathan Frye will be eulogist, with burial to follow in Erwin Stokes Cemetery.
Visitation will be 11 AM until service time Saturday.
He was born January 20, 1952, in Providence, Kentucky, to the late James and Estelle Carey Fowler. He was a brick mason before failing health forced him to retire. He was a veteran of the United States Army and member of Mullins Chapel Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Felicia Fowler in 1978, and a sister, Annette Ivey.
He leaves behind his wife of 25 years, Marilyn Fowler, of Shelbyville; three children, a son, William Edward (Avondale) Fowler, Jr., of Shelbyville; two daughters, Melinda (Chico) Bell, of Huntsville, Alabama, and April Gonzalez, of Shelbyville; four brothers, Steve Fowler, of Shelbyville, Clarence Fowler, Jamie Fowler, and Theatrice Fowler, all of Providence, Kentucky; three sisters, Rosie Hall and Felicia Peterson, both of Providence, Kentucky, and Carrie Fowler, of Muncie, Kentucky; five grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
Feldhaus Memorial Chapel is assisting the family with the arrangements.
