Webb took to game two in the Community Christmas Classic, searching for a way to find some momentum to close the second half of the season.
While some of the recent positives were evident in the game against Collinwood, there still wasn't enough to ensure a Feet victory as Webb fell 77-44.
"We were competitive in the first half and down 11 at the half. I thought we played hard but we didn't rebound real well tonight. We're just having trouble stopping people," said Webb coach Jeff Mitchell.
Webb's competitiveness kept the Feet close in the first half, which was keyed by team leaders Chase Hullett and Branson Popp.
The pair again led the Feet, but struggled to get needed help from the remainder of the roster.
Collinwood outscored Webb 16-13 in the first half, but began to pull away in the second with another 16 points while Webb could only muster eight more.
While Webb went to the break down just 11, the Trojans began to pull away even more in the second half thanks to a potent ranged attack.
"They made some shots and hit some threes. They hit five threes in the second half," Mitchell said.
While Collinwood outscored Webb 45-23 in the third and fourth quarters combined, Mitchell still feels that Hullett and Popp have started to emerge as the leaders the young Feet need on the floor.
"Chase played well again and Branson played well. We just don't have enough defense right now. That will be our focus in the second half of the season," he said.
With that in mind, Webb has until Jan. 8 to work on finding some of the defense needed to shut down some of the powerful offenses it will face in the second half of the season.
Webb's next game will be on Jan. 8 at USN with a tipoff scheduled to follow the Lady Feet's game.
