White Co. shuts down Eagles in tournament action

SPARTA -- Shelbyville Central's Golden Eagles proved to be no match for host White County in a 71-45 loss in the semifinals of the fifth annual Sonic Shoot-Out on Friday night.

White County posted leads of 15-11 at the end of the first quarter, 26-15 at halftime and 47-26 after three periods.

One bright spot for the Eagles was the 3-point shooting of Tyias Allison, who connected on five treys to finish with 15 points. Brayden Ward followed with seven tallies.

Kordell Henderson and Kane Young led the winners with 13 points apiece with AJ Wilkerson tacking on 11.
