Katie Leverette and Sarah Pierce combined for 35 points and the Viqueen defense did the rest as they controlled the game from start to finish to begin the second half of the season.
"We continue to improve offensively," Viqueen coach Allison Martin said.
"We had a little stretch where our shot selection was not what we wanted but we were able to make the adjustment and stayed consistent after that.
"Our defense did another good job and we limited them to just one shot by rebounding well for the most part. A win is a good way to get going after the holiday break."
Community (9-4, 4-2 9-A) led 18-10 after one period behind seven points each by Pierce and Leverette and maintained a 35-27 lead at the half.
Defense keyed a 43-31 advantage for the Viqueens after three quarters as they held the Lady Hornets to just two field goals. Hannah Busbee put four on the board while Pierce and Kristen Brothers added two points each.
Alexis Smith tallied six points as Huntland managed to pull to within two points midway through the final period but Leverette righted the ship with a seven point effort to seal the deal.
Community hit 13-of-23 shots from the charity stripe including 5-of-10 in the closing minutes.
Leverette led all scorers with 22. Pierce netted 13 for the Viqueens.
Smith led Huntland with 14. Courtnee Mayes added 10.
