An alleged in-home marijuana growing operation didn't last long -- one day, to be exact -- after the owner's wife notified police.
Brian Keith Potts, 26, begin constructing the project Wednesday at his South Maple Street home, his wife, Peggy, told officers Thursday.
An extension cord running from the bathroom to the attic was found by officers Jon Cooke and Cody King. Cooke said he climbed atop a dresser to reach the attic door and found a florescent light and heater.
Peggy Potts then handed over two bags containing 99 marijuana seeds, telling officers they were in Brian's dresser.
