After a close first quarter Harris Middle School's Golden Eagles turned kicked in into full gear on both ends of the court in a 63-36 win over visiting Tullahoma East in a Central Tennessee Conference match up Monday evening.

Leading 18-15 at the close of the first quarter, the Eagles out-scored their opponent 45-21 over the next three quarters to claim the victory.

Harris held a 36-25 advantage at halftime and took a 53-30 lead into the fourth stanza.

Jamal Harden and Michael Hayworth combined for 39 points with Harden pitching in a game-high 21 points, including a dozen in the first quarter. He also connected on five 3-pointers.

Hayworth netted 18 for the winners.

Kobe Burks paced East with 15 points, including three treys while Amari Burks added 11.

East struggled at the charity stripe, only making 1-of-12.

Harris (10-1, 9-1 CTC) recently received a notice that Blackman Middle School played an ineligible player in their win over the Eagles earlier this season, taking away a loss of their record and adding a win.

The Eagles travel to White County on Thursday.
