HMC names top employees of 2012

Each year, Heritage Medical Center honors exemplary employees. During the fourth quarter of each year, one extraordinary employee, one exceptional clinical manager and one exceptional non-clinical manager are selected by their peers and management.

Heritage Medical Center chooses these employees based on their dedication, exceptional patient care, professionalism, and outstanding efforts to maintain excellence in all they do, according to a hospital representative in a press release.

"These employees promote a culture of service and quality and serve as examples for all of our staff," said Corey Ewing, Chief Executive Officer at Heritage.

Last year's employee and managers of the year were:

* Employee: Kelly Beasley, unit secretary, emergency department

* Clinical manager: Jeff Smialek, RRT, cardiopulmonary services director

* Non-clinical manager: Tina Watson, RN, director, case management

The Employee of the Year and her guest will attend an all expense paid weekend in Nashville next month. The two managers will go into a regional drawing for a weekend trip to Nashville the same weekend.
