This time it was the Lady Rockets that prevailed 47-45 despite a furious comeback by the Viqueens from a 13 point deficit in the final quarter.
The Community win streak ends at eight due in large part to a stone cold offense in the second and third periods that saw them score two and seven points respectfully, while Forrest was burning up the court to take a 30-19 lead into the break after trailing 17-13.
"The second and third quarters were very rough for us tonight," Community coach Allison Martin said.
"We came out and played well in the first quarter and we played outstanding ball in the fourth, but we sort of forgot that it is a four quarter game, especially, in this gym.
"Our defense was just not in sync and we didn't do a very good job of taking care of the ball in the middle two quarters. We had to expend a lot of energy to get back in the game late and we just came up a little short."
Community (9-6, 4-3 District 9-A) trailed 30-19 after three periods and were down double figures for most of the final eight minutes until the defense found its rhythm to create some havoc among the Lady Rocket ball handlers.
Sarah Pierce lit it up for the Viqueens with 12 points in the fourth, including three 3-pointers, but the horn would sound on the comeback effort.
Pierce ended as the high scorer in the game with 24. Katie Leverette added 11 for the Viqueens.
Caitlyn Yost netted 19 for the hosts.
Community takes on district opponent Cascade on Friday night at 6 in Wartrace.
