Davie Barnes and Sarah Pierce hit a 3-pointer each, Katie Leverette netted six points and Kristin Ray pitched in with four to pace a 22-2 advantage after one period and the Viqueen were never challenged in a 54-29 non-district win at Roger K. Brothers Gym.
The Community defense continued to shine in the second frame, allowing just six points, while the offense continued to roll despite coach Allison Martin clearing the bench early to bump the lead to 32-8 at the intermission.
The Lady Warriors picked up the pace offensively behind a six-point effort by Hayley Foster in the third period to get into double figures, but the home team still doubled the total to enjoy a 45-20 cushion as the horn sounded on the third quarter.
Pierce and Kristen Brothers had four points each in the period and Ray added a 3-pointer to pace the Viqueens.
The fourth period ended with 11 Viqueens in the scoring column. Courtney Williams led the charge with a pair of baskets.
Community went to the line six times and hit five attempts for the game.
Their opponent made 21 trips to the charity stripe and connected 11 times.
Ensey led the Viqueens with 9 points.
Foster was high scorer for the Lady Warriors with 9.
