Mrs. Maggie Lou O'Neal Shelton, age 92, of Shelbyville, passed away Wednesday, January 16, 2013, at Christian Care Center of Bedford County.
Funeral services will be 11 AM Friday, January 18, 2013 at Feldhaus Memorial Chapel. Reverend Joe Thompson and Reverend Ron Chilton will officiate, with burial to follow in Willow Mount Cemetery.
Visitation will begin at 9 AM on Friday.
She was born December 9, 1920, in Bedford County, to the late George A. and Bessie Stallings O'Neal. She was a homemaker and faithful member of Southside Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Shelton, in 1986.
Survivors include a daughter, Dorothy A. Warren, of Shelbyville; three sons, Donald Wayne Shelton, and his wife Norma Jo, of Smyrna, Ernest Neal Shelton, and his wife Mary Ruth, of Murfreesboro, and Jerry Shelton, and his wife Margaret, of Shelbyville; a brother George A. O'Neal, Jr., and his wife Julie, of Nashville, TN; 14 grandchildren, Debbie Shelton Davis, and her husband Barry, Deanna Shelton Corzatt, Donald Shelton II, Keith Brandon, and his wife Lea, Mike Brandon, and his wife Lucy, Terry Tucker, Jeff Tucker, and his wife Debbie, Sherri Brandon, Renee Shelton Gordon, and her husband Garrett, Donna Shelton Shortridge, and her husband Scott, Michelle Winchester, and her husband Charlie, Wendy Parker, and her husband Rodney, Deanna Corzatt, and her husband Ron, and Charles A. Shelton; nineteen great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Southside Baptist Church Building Fund or the American Heart Association.
