The Webb Middle Boys (6-5, 5-1 MTAC) suffered their first defeat in CTC play at the hands of GCA on Thursday night. GCA used a strong first half to put the Feet away, 32-27.
GCA pulled ahead, outscoring the Feet 10-6 in the opening frame, but dealt a backbreaker with by posting 12 more in the second while Webb could only muster up two points. Still, Webb was able to regroup and make a run at GCA in the second half and was led by Jack Batey's 6 points in the half. However the Feet missed key opportunities to get back in the game.
Webb hits the road on Saturday with a trip to Franklin Christian with the opening tip-off set for 1:30 p.m.

Webb 22, GCA 15 -- While points were a rare commodity, the Webb Lady Feet were able to put GCA away on Thursday night, 22-15. The teams battled in the first quarter, but it was Webb who emerged with a slim, 1-pt. advantage after the first six minutes of play.
While Webb continued to maintain its scoring, GCA only saw one bucket drop in the second quarter. While still up just four points after the first half, Webb put the game out of reach with by outscoring GCA 4-1 in the third quarter.
Lucy Mitchell paced the Lady Feet with seven points while Kara Brook Bellenfant added five.
