Karen Frances Haynes Davis, 60, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 22, after a long illness.
Born in Shelbyville, TN, she resided in Nashville. Karen attended Memphis State University and Middle Tennessee State University earning a degree in special education. Upon graduation she went to work as a teacher in various Middle Tennessee schools. In more recent years she formed and ran her own general contracting business in Nashville.
She is survived by her husband Larry (Maynard) Davis; two sons, Benjamin (Megan) and Alexander, and a grandson, Burton. She is also survived by her parents, William C. Haynes Jr. and Virginia Ann Haynes, of Shelbyville, Tn. She leaves one brother, William Knox Haynes, of Lexington, KY. She was preceded in death by her older brother, John Lynn Haynes. She is also survived by a special cousin, Marsha Clark Mangrum (Michael) of Nashville.
Visitation will be Thursday, Jan. 24 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Woodmont Christian Church, 3601 Hillsboro Pike in Nashville. Service will be at the church at 1:30 p.m. with burial following at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
