FRA too much for Webb

Sunday, January 27, 2013

FRANKLIN -- FRA just had too much firepower. The Webb Feet took a tough loss on Friday night at FRA, suffering a 75-24 loss.

"They're a championship caliber team. They're very strong and well coached. It's a mismatch right now," said Webb coach Jeff Mitchell.

FRA burst out of the gates, outscoring the Feet 21-7.

The home team added 23 more in the second, while Webb struggled to get the wheels moving.

"Our kids competed, but FRA shot the ball close to 67 percent. They're just really, really good," Mitchell said.

FRA added another 31 points in the second half and cruised to the 75-24 win.

Per usual, Branson Popp competed and led the team in scoring with 10 points, while teammate Chase Hullet added seven more.

Webb tipped off over the weekend against Davidson Academy, however results were unavailable at press time.
