Benjamin Jarrad Ray, 28, of Shelbyville, died as the result of an automobile accident Sunday, January 27, 2013.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 30, 2013, at Edgemont Baptist Church. Reverend Donald Gregory will officiate, with burial to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. Tuesday at Edgemont Baptist Church.

He was born March 28, 1984, in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, to Cindy Bush Ray and David Michael Ray. He was a graduate of the University of Tennessee Heath Science Center and was a pharmacist with Bennett Pharmacy in Winchester. He attended Rowesville Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by grandparents, George Thomas Bush and Deannie Ray.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his fiancÚ', Abby Canon; grandmother, Peggy Bush; grandfather, Price Ray; daughter, Charleigh Elizabeth Ray; sister, Amanda E. Ray (Derrick Hoover); uncles, George Bush and Joe Bush (Sissy Smith); aunts, Belinda Bush (Robert) Frazier and Polly Ray; niece, Samantha Hoover, and two loving pets, "Allie" and "T."

Memorials may be made to a fund set up at Traders Bank, 1602 N. Main St., Shelbyville, TN 3760 (931-680-3500), for his daughter, Charleigh Ray.

Feldhaus Memorial Chapel is assisting the family with the arrangements.
